Pictuwa exists as an outlet for the work of innovative contemporary artists. We try to list art that you won’t find anywhere else in the UK to ensure you can find a gem of creativity that’s just as unique as you are.

Without contributing artists there is no Pictuwa. A large share of what’s left after the cost of producing your print goes to rewarding their hard work and overactive imagination, after all it’s the art not the paper and the ink that you’re buying here. The first spark of this revolution caught heat whilst browsing an average high street gallery realising that most art isn’t art, its interior design. A handful of distributors turn out huge numbers of living room friendly prints that you have seen a hundred times before. Artists get only a fraction of the sale price but they enjoy a reasonable income because of the high volume. Its starting to sound like tins of beans in a supermarket isn’t it?! Don’t misunderstand us, real art is out there but for an average budget what you find is little more than a poster.
